Okay, So I mentioned here sometime before Christmas that my camera died. I was SO upset. For when you have 4 children, one of them being less than a year old, and the others being SO DARN CUTE, (yes, even you my sweet 16 year old boy!), you HAVE to have a camera to record the memories, the moments, the smiles and silly times. I had a Kodak Easyshare Z760, which at the time we purchased it had a large number of megapixels at 6.1 (not super-sure what that really means, except it is supposed to be better the more megapixels you have, something about each pixel is a little dot and the more of them you have the clearer the picture is when you want to blow it up, or something along those lines). So anyway, I was very happy with my 6.1 megapixel Kodak. It took great pictures, it did video, black & white, all kinds of cool things. But then, it was over. It died. And I was so sad. So I started seeing the commercials with Ashton Kutcher and his Nikon camera, and I thought, I want one! But, alas, they are quite expensive, so I started looking around at other options. Nikon has one like the easyshare, all automatic and easy, so I thought that would probably work. My dear husband and I talked about the different options and decided that we would use the money we get from his grandfather each Christmas to get a camera. I would just have to use my cell phone camera to take my pictures until we were able to find one that we liked, which, by the way, is next to impossible to get a decent picture of 4 children all looking at the camera, sorry, cell phone, at the same time with a halfway decent look on their face, all while they sit perfectly still, because we all know that those cell phone camera pictures all blur if there is an ounce of movement. Anyway, I got one with my cell phone that is okay, but not great, to try and send out with Christmas cards (which still sit on the desk to this day) Here is the cell phone pic:
Very fuzzy, and dark, no flash on a cell phone you know! But a fairly good shot of them all, nonetheless. So lets move forward to Christmas morning........ Daddy has the big one get a package from under the tree for Mommy and says that this one has to be opened before anything else. So I open it and..........Why yes, that IS a Nikon D60 Camera. Just like the one Ashton Kutcher was using in his commercials!!! I was SO excited!! I even got 2 new memory cards for it to fill up! I was a photo taking fool for the rest of the holidays. And in fact, here is the new picture of my beautiful chi ldren taken with the D60 (10.2 megapixels by the way!!) A very Merry Christmas was had by all and I have the pictures to prove it!
